Returns

Your satisfaction is very important to us. Were happy to offer a 30 day return policy on most items purchased at houseandhold.com.

Most merchandise purchased from house&hold may be returned or exchanged for store credit or a full refund (minus shipping costs) within 30 days of delivery for reasons other than damage, defects, or errors in processing. Product must be in perfect resalable condition along with all original packaging, tags and inserts intact.  Returned items received in less than perfect resalable condition will not be accepted.

Returns must be pre-authorized by emailing us at service@houseandhold.com to obtain an RA# and return address. Orders returned without pre-authorization will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% - 50% in addition to return shipping fees.

Returns should be properly packed in the products original packaging and sent at the customer's expense to the address we provide you during authorization.

Shipping costs will not be credited or refunded. house&hold will not be held responsible for returned items that are damaged or lost in transit. Therefore we highly recommend returns be sent with proper packaging via a traced and insured shipping method.

Returned items purchased with a free shipping offer or promotion will have the cost of shipping subtracted from the refund amount.

Examples of non-returnable items at house&hold are clearance or open box items, special order items, custom made, and made to order items. Used and/or washed bedding cannot be returned. Products that have been installed (such as lighting), or assembled cannot be returned. Orders placed for commercial use are not returnable/refundable once shipped. These items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. If you are unsure whether or not the items you are interested in can be returned, please call us at 877-638-6171 or feel free to email us at service@houseandhold.com prior to placing your order.

Returned items returned in less than perfect condition, without a return authorization, or items returned to an unauthorized warehouse address may incur a restocking fee of anywhere from 20%-50%. 

Damages / Defects:

Claims for damaged or defective must be filed within 24 hours of delivery. Claims must be reported immediatly to house&hold by email to service@houseandhold.com. A minimum of 3 digital photos of damaged products must accompany claim. Claims received after 3 business days of delivery will not be processed. Please keep all damaged packaging materials including the box which the shipment arrived in along with all inside contents. Please understand that packaging materials must be kept in the event that an item is damaged. If packaging materials are not kept house&hold cannot process a damage claim.

Special note on Freight deliveries: PLEASE INSPECT ALL PACKAGES WHILE THE DRIVER IS STILL THERE AND BEFORE THEY SIGN THE DELIVERY RECEIPT.  If there is any damage, or if something is missing, you can either refuse the damaged box(es), or mark it on the delivery receipt. If missing items are not noted, or damages to box or item is not made note of on delivery receipt, a replacement can NOT be issued.

If you have received a damaged or defective product that can be remedied with replacement parts or a replacement product, and choose to return an item rather than accept a  replacement, you will be refunded the amount of your order less any applicable shipping charges (see return policy above).
