Perfect in both residential and commercial settings, every Tom Dixon piece is sure to make a statement that will be remembered.

Born in Sfax, Tunisia, Tom Dixon moved to England in 1963. He spent six months at Art School which he eventually dropped out of. According to Tom, the liberty that he had from dropping out of art school gave him more control and freedom when it comes to his creativity. Tom explored and ventured into different jobs and hobbies in search of his own style and to further improve his creativity and character. Eventually, welding became Tom’s newfound passion that expanded his knowledge and zest for creating tough metal structures and eventually modern lighting and furniture. From that point on, Dixon has continuously evolved over the years from a young man trying to find his niche to an inspired craftsman and a renowned designer.

Being a restless innovator, Tom has worked with different creative studios, spearheading “Space”which is a collective for like minded individuals to collaborate and influence each other through their creativity and  partnering with companies such as Cappellini wherein Tom created the iconic “S”chair.

In 2002, Tom Dixon launched his eponymous brand, creating lighting, furniture and accessories that exudes his style and what he represents as a creative. As Tom establishes his lighting and furniture brand and how he crafts his pieces, he tackles themes such as aesthetics versus utility and durability, sustainability and disposability, and more importantly what people like. Tom’s own style and character can be seen in his pieces, from accessories such as candle holders and trays to furniture like tables and chairs. Tom Dixon’s products showcase the wild imagination of its founder through his works.
