The Ferro & Fuoco collection of modern hand-forged fire tools are born from cherished labor. Italian designer Marco Ferreri, who was born in 1958, talks about a walk in a gorgeous valley located in Italy. He found a small village in which the entire community operated a water-powered hammer run that is 500 years old, which is used to cut and remodel pieces of old railroad tracks to create hoes and shovels for the village. The determination and devotion of the old blacksmiths and the stories of life narrated through the distinctive tools they crafted inspired Marco Ferreri to design unique fire tools that could be forged by hand by the same blacksmiths out of recycled track using the ancient water wheel. Thus, these gorgeous hand-forged tools were born. Ameico proudly sells them to private homes.
