I'm usually not a fan of such fanciness, but this Parisian Apartment is really quite spectacular.

It's real: the marble, amazing wood floors & such crazy molding make for a space that is way over the top .. but so nice.

the village by gert robijns

This amazing instillation by Belgain artist Gert Robijns is a replica of his childhood village but void of all color. Built as public art instillation in an abandoned airstrip, the village I'm sure made quite a stir in it's local community. Can you imagine driving past that?!

Odd, yet interesting.. which I like.

Seriously now. An almond meringue base with a frosting-ish cream filling dipped in chocolate and stashed in the freezer? I would eat you right up, Sarah Bernhardt Cake!

This Danish treat was orignally created in honor of the french actress Sarah Bernhardt. Not sure of the connection there, but sure. Why not? Delicious.

Perfect in every way you'd want it to be.. such openness with amazing light. Cozy, wood elements with a great woodstove in the kitchen. Really, now!

My friend Jennifer Hagler has an intriguing home. If you follow her on Instragram you've surely noticed that her interiors are ever-changing as she creates new vignettes and cleaver compostions with an unexpected grouping of objects. Often.

She just does it. Maybe a tad intense, all the object shifting & such but I totally admire her thoughtfulness in creating a home that is truly enjoyable. Edgy & well edited...  but in a livable sort of way.
