It's still miserably winter-ish in Portland (gray, rain etc) and while I long for Cabo, an ice cream cone would do. I admit I'm drawn to this recipe because of the cute little cones (ha!) but cacao nib and mint frozen yogurt sounds fantastic.

Day 30 of 30 Days of Food: Nutcrackle Cookie
I'm ending the 30 Days of Food collection on a sweet note: chocolate hazelnut crackle cookies. I love the combination of chocolate & hazelnuts ... all wrapped up into a crackle-ish cookie ... perfection.

If you're an avid baker like myself you go through tons of vanilla extract. And, if you're using good vanilla extract... it is mass expensive! Although I've never done it making your own vanilla extract is a lot cheaper and allows a bit of control - brilliant!

Tomato Soup is one of those simple foods that is always comforting, always sounds good and easy to make. I love how this recipe uses roasted tomatoes, adding an amazing rich flavor. And that cheesy toast? Totally.
