Be sure to use your Google Translate for this one (it's in German!). It's worth it, these Orange Pistachio Cookies (with chai glaze) look fantastic and have an interesting mix of ingredients. Mmm, cookies.

Seriously! Drunken pumpkin pie? I would not say no. You? With mascarpone cream.. wow. This just made it to the top of my Thanksgiving pie making list.

Day 10 of 30 Days of Food: Persimmon Scones.
I know, I know. I've already posted about scones in my 30 Days of Food. I couldn't resisit this recipe, however. Persimmons are in season and sort of an awkward fruit. Not overly sweet with an interesting texture. Persimmons do have an amazing fragrance, however, which I love... so I have a hard time resisting them...!
Persimmons scones are therefor the perfect solution to .. what do i do with a persimmon?!

30 Days of Food, day 9: Carrot Apple Loaf
A loaf is humble and steady. Always yummy, nothing fussy. Every day is a good day for a tasty loaf.....
I think the combination of apple & carrot is particularly fitting, slathered in frosting (I dream!) and perfectly Autumn.

Day 8: Bleu Cheese & Bacon Tartine with Honey.
In a nutshell, that's lunch. Or dinner with a green salad, no? I love bleu cheese (especially from local Rogue Creamery!) and bacon (love our local Carlton Farms bacon!) and honey (we consume gallons of Wessels Family Honey .. a raw honey farm located a few miles away from our home!)
Such an amazing combination! And I love this simple recipe from Everything Fab.
Day 7: Apple Cider Cream Pie
Surely you taken the hint: I have a major sweet tooth. I can't help it ... how about you? So i've fallen prey to this Apple Cider Cream Pie.
It's an interesting, yet simple recipe and one that you'll want to try out before Thanksgiving (ahem!) just to make sure it's good.

Day 6: Confiture Caramel au Beurre Salé... Salted Caramel Spread.
Mmmm, salted caramel spread. In truth this spread would make the perfect food gift. A jar of wonderfulness. But c'mon! Who are you kidding? I imagine most of us could eat 1/2 a jar of this stuff straight up and then look for something (anything! icecream, crepes...) to put it on.

Day 5: Spaghetti Squash Pasta with Meatballs from one my favorite food blogs, Roost.
Based on the amazing recipes and beautiful photographs you would never imagine that Roost is a "restricted diet" blog. It is however, following the SCD food structure. This strikes a particular chord with me as we do not eat grain/gluten/refined sugar/starch and most dairy (phew!) and sometimes I lack inspiration.
Pasta & meatballs? Roost to the rescue! Using spaghetti squash the recipe is on my list to make this week. Wow.

Day 4: Cranberrry Scones with Orange Glaze. Wow, I'm sold on a cranberry scone, these photos by Jenny Steffens are beautiful!
With cranberries in season right now, making cranberry scones is totally given. You must! Add orange glaze, ohh, yummy! Even better. With simple ingredients, this recipe will come together before coffee is made.

Day 3: Apple Pie Bars with Toffee Sauce. Like a pie on the go (grab a square!) but with the magnificent addition of toffee sauce.
Apples are in season right now and i'm eager to make a pie! But think, glorious toffee sauce on all that crunchy pie topping. And love the little squares.
