It's late spring. Local produce is coming into season. It's staying lighter, longer. And it's starting to get warm... makes me think: happy hour to celebrate the day or warm, late evenings spent on the back deck.

My favorite bits of the week -- plants & black bits. As I mentioned, we just moved into a big new house in the countryside. White walls, blank canvas! Loads of decorating to be done, I'm gathering inspiration like a maniac.
The bits I like? The plants in each image, particularly on the windowsills. And the black objects on top of the white kitchen cabinets. Just perfect, nice detailing.

I love an all white kitchen with marble and black. But? We recently moved into a big beautiful home in the countryside with... blue countertops. Country blue.
And while I have to live with them I am determined to not only make them work, but make them look hot. I found this blue kitchen and was totally inspired, from the home of stylist Saša Antićs featured in Elle Interiör.

There is not much to argue with, Braun is a powerhouse. Their new digital clocks are beautiful, designed under the direction of Makus Orthey and keep with the German precision and quality Braun is known for.

The new 70/70 table designed by TAF Architects for MUUTO is really quite beautiful in it's minimalism. The warmth of color in objects and chairs add to the intrigue of the space this table could be used in.
“The 70/70 table is a study in geometric forms identifying the dimensions for a well-balanced table. It has an almost anonymous expression yet with careful detailing. The table is based upon two cast aluminum squared frames with the dimensions 70 x 70 centimeters. Plant perfection, don't you think? The shelf is fantastic but I am also loving the mix of pots, the terra cotta in particular. I think we sometimes shy away from terra cotta. It seems like something we've seen too much of. But really, it's quite lovely with all of the white and green.

Designed way back in 1967 by Enzo Mari the Timor Perpetual Desk Calendar is a clever thing! All cards spin around a pin and indicate month, number and day of the week.

Isn't this space just radiant? I can't take my eyes off of it. The very talented Charlotte, Swedish interior designer, stylist and blogger of Blackbird has created a most admirable space called Project Godhemsgatan.
It's essentially a staged property for sale. But it's nothing that you'd expect stateside where "staged" sings beige and boring. The space is full of character and age. Comfortable, enchanting. I'm totally stealing ideas from the shelf in the 2nd image.
