I love the home of graphic designer Tanja Vibe of ATWTP -- I want magically step inside and take it all in. The deep personal style is refreshing, don't you think?

Featured in this month's Elle Dekoration, here is another photoshoot of the same amazing space.

We have amazing things going on here at House&Hold that I am excited to share with you. First up, the Danish design company Menu will be added to the H&H catalog this next week, a fantastic collection of dinnerware, kitchen items, bath accessories and other objects for the home.

Menu is an intriguing design collaborative with a focus: Making Design Matter. Naturally well designed, thoughtful & full of intent. Setting new standards for original Scandinavian Design.

Keep your eye out for Menu this next week.

  • pewter

I love the look of aged metal, especially old aluminum, it has such a pewter-ish look to it and is always so interesting. I've been snatching up aged metal pieces for my collection whenever I see them, always for dirt cheap as they're a bit odd & mismatched.

This space so perfectly illustrates the warm greys of aged metal against bright white - such a perfect contrast. I think adding "old" stuff to your space saves it from looking like a boring catalog or showroom.

New to H&H, Kontextur's WC Bathroom Collection. A minimal, functional set of pieces for the loo. I appreciate how overly simple the pieces are, certainly nothing worse than an ugly toilet brush.

I have my eye on the large Hanging Mirror and Hanging Line (not pictured) for our downstairs powder room in black. Perfect for a small space.

  • natural elements

I've fallen in love with baskets. The natural woven kind of all sizes and I've been buying them up  by the armful whenever I see them at the second hand shop. So I'm double invigorated to see all the natural elements in this home on Folkhem, it's pulled together so well.

And those window ledges! So well styled, balanced - just so. The square wooden planter boxes shown in the window ledges (and also a large one in the living room if you follow thru to the source) are inspring me to a diy. You think?

I am perhaps loving most of all the use of grey with the natural materials. Brilliant.

The new X3 Watering Can by Kontextur is a witty little thing. The handle is designed to be held from both the side and the top to carry (exciting!) and has a great big spout. Really, more than just a watering can and too beautiful to hide.

Available in 4 classic colors and shiny copper.

Wow, really now. Such incredible composition for Residence Magazine styled by Lotta Agaton and photographed by Mikkel Mortensen. Objects, art, color, everything.

So conversational, so much movement and thought -- all home deco should inspire to translate this way in a real life, habitable sort of way.

  • 70/70 by TAF Architects for MUUTO

    MUUTO via houseandhold.com

The new 70/70 table designed by TAF Architects for MUUTO is really quite beautiful in it's minimalism. The warmth of color in objects and chairs add to the intrigue of the space this table could be used in.

“The 70/70 table is a study in geometric forms identifying the dimensions for a well-balanced table. It has an almost anonymous expression yet with careful detailing. The table is based upon two cast aluminum squared frames with the dimensions 70 x 70 centimeters.  The simple Scandinavian aesthetics balanced with the warmth from the layered wood adds personality to the table.” - TAF Architects
