The new X3 Watering Can by Kontextur is a witty little thing. The handle is designed to be held from both the side and the top to carry (exciting!) and has a great big spout. Really, more than just a watering can and too beautiful to hide.

Available in 4 classic colors and shiny copper.

I love this grouping of potted plants. The straight white pots are just perfect, don't you think?

Pinterest-ers agreed, as this was my most pinned image this week. You can follow me on Pinterest, here.

  • EXTERIOR: Pathway Inspirations

The little side area of my home that leads to the backyard has become quite overgrown this spring. In a good way, though. The hostas are growing big and the maple trees are so full and green creating a lovely woodsy area. This side space is not used a whole lot, but still I had the thoughts of creating a pathway.

Busywork, perhaps. But still, inspired! The 2nd image is no inspiration at all (green grass abounds!) but oh-so beautiful. The last 2 images are the closest match to my side yard pathway possibilites... and I love all the chartreuse colored plants.

  • Inspired: 3 Cozy Outdoor Spots

Now that it's officially spring (with summertime temperatures in some areas of the country!) I'm hankering to spend time outside. My plan this year is to create a couple cozy, relaxing nooks in our yard & decks - outdoor living, urban style!

I've collected 3 very impressive outdoor living areas in the images above. I love the softer, indoor-ish objects used (the leather stools!) in the first image, matched with a chair this would make for the perfect impromptu coffee/sunshine break spot.  The second image makes me want to cozy up & take a nap in the "sleeping nook" - add a few blankets &  I'm set! And who doesn't love to dine al fresco? The last image is a fantastic example of layering the space (wood, pebbles & grass!) with materials and height.

I have not quite decided on how to cozy up our outdoor space, but one thing is for sure. I will soon be adding this giant hammock to the mix!

  • Make/Do: Seeds & Sprouts

Spring is right around the corner! In Portland, we get overly excited about the first bud on the cherry blossom trees & the first eager daffodil to nudge out of the ground. Spring also means it's time to start thinking about a garden. No matter how big or small, every garden starts with seeds.

One way to get instant-gardening gratification is to "sprout". Loads of things can be sprouted from legumes (such as lentils), grains (wheatberries/wheatgrass wins this one) and many seeds ( also called micro greens - which is what's in the teacup above). If you think perhaps growing micro greens will become your new domestic obsession, check this out?

If you have the space, will you soon start some seedlings to later plant in your garden? This year I have lettuce, green beans, tomatoes & herbs on my 'to garden list. I'm not much of a gardener, but this year plan to do a bit more than last.
