I love when a blog has a vibrant, genuine point of view. Sofia of the lovely blog Mokkasin is just that and the sort of neighbor you'd want next door. Easy going enough to enjoy all the little moments -- always something going on, in the midst of a project and having fun with her family.

I so appreciate her eye for vintage, she seems to have such a way with putting things together. And? with talent she captures the moment in beautiful photographs.

summertime bevs & bites

Summertime is in full swing and what a fantastic one it has been! The weather has been absolutely perfect in Portland and we've been enjoying every last bit of living in the countryside.

As I mentioned in my previous post I am totally captivated by Ferm Living's new Fall/Winter '13 Collection .. so much so that I just have to share more!

One of my favorite things about Ferm Living as a brand is that they effortlessly breathe new life into pieces from previous collections, as if to make them new again with their current designs. Nothing feels outdated, such an inspiration to reinvent what you already have while adding in a few new key pieces.

The new Collection includes more items in marble & in new colors (love the shower curtain!), new kitchen items (more stripes!), wallpaper, artwork and a handful of new vessels (brass!)

I'm totally captivated by Ferm Living's new Fall/Winter '13 Collection, the creative direction on this collection is just amazing. The new collection has a stated feel, mature and composed. It's not as playful as previous sets and I quite appreciate that.  Artists Kristina Krogh and  Mariken Steen (shown in 1st photo) both have work included for the Fall which is a brilliant move.

A few of my favorites? The new Grid Wallpaper & Hexagon Brass vessels are keepers.

These interior still shots by photographer Heidi Lerkenfeldt are fantastic. The spaces remind me of the freshness of unpacking when you move into a new house and all your furniture & objects are haphazardly stacked up and posed for possibility. I'm totally drawing from the white/grey/wood color palette - so buoyant!
