The Droog Shadylace is witty. It's like having a big backyard tree to sit under on a hot sunny day. But yet I love the white and imagine with a gentle breeze the leaf-lace and uneven edges would make the loveliest flickering shadows.
Also available in green and in 2 sizes.

It's early Summer and we're just now starting to venture out & spend evenings outside, thankful for the warm weather! A few details that inspire me. Just simple stuff.

Serious summertime-ing on the backdeck. At night, after a hot day. You know what I'm talking about!
I have been really enjoying the last days of Summer. And these back decks? Inspiring, of course. The top one is by far my favorite, everything about it. The third image is not a deck, but you get the idea.

Oh, summertime. By now you know my sweet sentiments for this season... and fun summertime bevs. Maybe it's because we don't get much sun in Portland that for the summer season, we're inclined to go all out. Something like that.
I've collected 4 fun summer bev recipes. What looks best to you? I can't seem to pick a favorite!

Have you had any dinner parties outdoors this summer? I have not, though I have to say we have only had a few warm nights so far in Portland. Festive parties or informal family gatherings, eating outside during the summer is my favorite.
I have collected some inspiration, fancy & fun! I enjoy setting the table and making people feel extra special.

oh, Summertime, I am so enjoying you with your beautiful, juicy fruit & berries and perfectly long warm days. This is the time of year where you can visit a roadside fruitstand ... and certainly bring the fruit stand home.
Today, I have juicy cold watermelon and fresh picked cherries on my countertop. How about you?

French Cuisse is bold. I can't quite figure out what it is or even why. But who cares. Be inspired by French Cuisse point of view. Pure & simple ingredients. Straightforward eating. Minimalistic presentation in both preparation & plated.
But fun and unfettered. And gets me crazy excited for summertime dinners & latenight desserts. A little more fancy than usual and that is just what I'm needing.
There's more! Go to French Cuisse, now.

Summertime living: time spent outdoors, lounging, enjoying. Sipping on something tasty. I'm sure you would agree...summer nights outside are the amazing.
Years ago I worked for a lady who had 3 orignal iron butterfly chairs stacked up sitting next to her trash. REALLY? So I asked her if we could have them. With a quick yes, we then snagged these gems and hauled them home. They've been our cozy summertime lounging spots ever since.
To add to the Butterfly Chairs, here are a few of my Summertime Essentials for outdoor living: A Fatboy Headdamok (so many fun colors!)... or 2? The Fatboy Flower Powersol with Marimekko fabric, perfect for the patio. And a chair like your Grandpa had? Crazy expensive, but so cool: the Plodes redo Chair! For mood, I love the NotNeutral Seasons Lantern (the large one is huge & would be a lot of fun) and the Design House Stockholm Lotus Tealight Hurricane.
