I'll have to ask my Swedish friend about these little treats, but so far, I'm sold on the very idea of Semlor - cream filled sweetened buns. Mmm!
How could one resist? Reminds me of a cream filled Pâte à Choux, but after closer a closer look at the recipe, the bun part puzzles me!

It's still miserably winter-ish in Portland (gray, rain etc) and while I long for Cabo, an ice cream cone would do. I admit I'm drawn to this recipe because of the cute little cones (ha!) but cacao nib and mint frozen yogurt sounds fantastic.

It's about this time of year I am dreaming of summertime. Or a warm beach in Cabo. Either would do. It's so cold and grey here in Portland.

This Danish treat was orignally created in honor of the french actress Sarah Bernhardt. Not sure of the connection there, but sure. Why not? Delicious.

Oh, happy Autumn! It's still warm here in Portland (surprise, surprise!) but after a wonderful summertime, I am looking forward to the coziness that Autumn always brings.

You won't have to twist my arm too hard to get me to eat something dipped in chocolate. Chocolate, boom. I'm there.
For the fun of it, I've gathered three tasty treats ideas... dipped in chocolate! I'm particularly excited about the Chocolate Date Truffles. Even though they are not, I would double dip 'em in chocolate.

Apples with Salty Medjool Caramel? I'm pretty sure I would have no problem with that! Food photographer and recipe bad-ass Vanessa Reese is such an inspiration. I totally get into the "process" of her recipes & photos. Proof: the final image of many of her posts: a picture of her cat & her 'studio and the set-up.
I often think the process of creativity is more interesting than the product (but, ahem, this recipe looks amazing!) and that's why I think I have clicked with Vanessa's stye.
