The weekend list?  Watch tv .. a luxury of mine, really! Finish reading (and re-reading!) this amazing book on education. Bake, bake, bake... it's that season, thankfully. Finish getting ready for my oldest son's birthday next weekend - he's going to be 7 and a Star Wars party is in order...

The very best weekend to all of you and my thoughts of prayers of love for all our friends on the East Coast recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

The weekend list?  The weather is back to classic Portland-ness: rainy, grey and low 60's for the next week. I have a few more house projects on the to-do list (including painting our bedroom grey, go figure) and am looking forward to seeing family that in in town for a bit. Also? I must bake something pumpkin-apple-spicey-ish. You?

“You've got to know your limitations. I don't know what your limitations are. I found out what mine were when I was twelve. I found out that there weren't too many limitations, if I did it my way." - Johnny Cash

The weekend list?  I suppose I am squeezing every last bit out of summertime? We just spent the week at the beach and it was lovely. Boardwalks & beach talks. Time now to get ready for Autumn? Perhaps. Stuck somewhere between wanting to lounge out and be rowdy & snuggle in for a long winter's nap.

The weekend list?  More of the same - a rampage of simplicity & cleanliness. It continues! And perhaps make a banana cream pie and drink endless amounts of iced coffee.  Sounds so good.

“Life itself is the proper binge.” - Julia Child

The weekend list? Not much?  That seems like the proper answer. I've had an incredibly full work schedule and the thought of doing nothing sounds best of all. This may contradict my recent obsession iced coffee? Maybe.

"There's a quote from Hamlet that is my guide... He tells the players not to exaggerate but to hold a mirror up to nature. Don't overdo it, don't underdo it. Do it just on the line." - Andrew Wyeth

The weekend list? I just feel like being home-y. Summertime always seems to come a bit late in Portland and it seems as though the month of June is spent preparing for and dreaming about the sweet warmth and activities of the summer months. Getting the house freshened up, stocking up on summer essentials. And as I write this? It's pouring down rain....

The weekend list? It's my 32nd birthday on Saturday! I look forward to an extended birthday weekend with my sweet family. We kicked things off by spending a lovely afternoon at a Peony Farm outside of Portland today. Peonies as far as the eye could see ... it was breathtaking! Tomorrow will hopefully start with breakfast in bed (hint!) and an afternoon in the countryside picking berries. And of course, multiple slices of cake throughout the day...

The weekend list? Definitely a picnic. Somewhere, the beach? The countryside? At a lake? Not quite sure... but I look forward to be out with my family, the weather is suppose to be nice! Enjoy your long weekend!
