inspired, Graanmarkt13

So inspired by Graanmarkt13's space. Wood & cream, big room, lots of light. Can't you just imagine some sort of amazing event happening there? I can.

interior, living king barns

I love this small space, photographed by interior stylist Johanna Pilfalk. So simple & quaint ... like a modern Nordic version of Little House on the Prairie? You see it too?

Perfect in every way you'd want it to be.. such openness with amazing light. Cozy, wood elements with a great woodstove in the kitchen. Really, now!

Jonas Ingerstedt

The space of photographer Jonas Ingerstedt has been getting quite a bit of press, but for good reason - it's a home all of us would move into in a heartbeat. An effortlessly well designed home full of personal collections, thoughtful assemblages and a peaceful color palate.

I love the mix of lines .. the furniture, lamps, chairs... amazingly thoughtful composition & totally inspirational.

Hanna's Room

This is what your space would look like if you sold everything and got rid of all the junk. And if you had excellent light and great sensibility. Plus, that marble table top is just fantastic.

Perfect combination. So lovely. And of course, such great light!

Inspiration from Alt Interiør

I love this layout in the Danish Magazine Alt Interiør... an assemblage of the finest wood goods. Cozy!

Art House

"Art House is a good example of Danish and Nordic interior. Clean, simple with a textural feel to it. I love these pictures and the calmness in the rooms."  - Line Thit Klein

So well said. This home is lovely and inspired -- so personal, authentic.

A beautiful space...

Wow, isn't this home beautiful? Perhaps perfect, really. It meets all the criteria: not too trendy, not too classic. Wide open space, great light. Cozy but not crowded. Beautiful floors & perfectly white walls.

I love the combination of the copper lights in the dining room along with that great selections of chairs (including the dowel leg side shell chair).  And an 'eat-in kitchen? Totally adding that to the wish list.

I just want to see more, don't you?! Found on the blog Studio Karin, Google translate is not making it clear enough to figure out & I am not sure of original source of these images. A magazine? Let me know if you know!

UPDATE: this is the home of Tanja Vibe of ATWTP. Still not sure where the photos originate?

A Vignette

This is a beautiful vignette in the home of Daniella Witte. The most harmonious elements of wood, copper, green/black. I just love how closely the wood and copper work together - and those plants!

I do have a thing for copper which I will be sharing later this week. In the meantime if you have a favorite vignette in your home, snap a pic and email to me! summer at houseandhold.com.

All wood, all good.

Isn't this Danish home fantastic? Wood for miles, polished concrete floors and gorgeous big windows. And yet, so tricky. I love all the little nooks, secret areas and built in lounge spots.

And all the wood! The walls & ceiling are covered and it reminds me of a library/den of an  old house, but updated. The natural light in this home is beyond amazing and even with all those straight modern lines, it's quite cozy.

Don't you agree?!
