potted plants
I love this grouping of potted plants. The straight white pots are just perfect, don't you think?
Pinterest-ers agreed, as this was my most pinned image this week. You can follow me on Pinterest, here.

This morning I am inspired by Bar & Co, a restaurant in Helsinki by Interior architect and designer Joanna Laajisto. The space has such lovely continuity without being redundant both in color & elements. And the expert use of white, black, copper, marble and a deep green is spot on, don't you think? I am both surprised and in love with the deeply earthy greens.
I want to visit Bar & Co!

I love these images of &Tradition from the recent Stockholm Furniture Fair. So ethereal.
Isn't the Shuffle Side Table just lovely? [bottom image].

Three styles, 1 sofa and 1 room. Quite the challenge, I can't decide which one I like best. Possibly leaning toward the pink/copper space. Loving the grey elements...
The Mayor Sofa is by &Tradition, though not currently available in the US.

I'm intrigued by the moodiness of this space. Black and gold? So intense! And while I am usually not a fan of dark red, it works in this room well enough. Though i'm not quite sure I could pull it off myself.
I love the two black coffee tables.

A bit ago I shared with you my love for the new Stelton Frost products designed by Swedish group Front.
I'm even more in love with Front than first imagined! Their designs for Gemla (the chairs, oh the black one!) and Moroso (the small sofa, such detail!) and the Surface Tension Lamp are equally as stunning. All of their designs illustrate such fluidity and grace.

I'll have to ask my Swedish friend about these little treats, but so far, I'm sold on the very idea of Semlor - cream filled sweetened buns. Mmm!
How could one resist? Reminds me of a cream filled Pâte à Choux, but after closer a closer look at the recipe, the bun part puzzles me!

The Spring/Summer '13 Collection of Ferm Living is my favorite one yet! They've cleverly incorporated new patterns, pieces and colors that are fresh ... yet stay true to their previous collections.
A few of my favorites:
Star Tray
The new Porcelain Vases
Cube Tealight
All the new pillows - such great patterns!
I've had my eye on Bea Johnson after reading this article in the NY Times 3 years ago. Her story & vision for living is extreme. And I'm fascinated.
Bea has a lifestyle blog called Zero Waste Home which pretty much sums it up. What really intrigues me - beyond the no-garbage thing - is how simply Bea's family live in their home. The white floors (and white everything else) is not just part of a trendy Scandinavian thing. It's for the purpose of simplistic, clean living. So simplified that there is practically nothing to clean, nothing to pick up, no trash to take out...
I want this! Bea just wrote a book called Zero Waste Home, due out early April. I'll be buying this in iBooks as I would not want to add to more book clutter, ha!

A simply designed artist home. Rough, open and full of light. And totally okay if you get some paint on the floor. The Humlebæk Home by Norm Architecture is a beautiful example of not getting stuck in a particular reference but instead being fully inspired by concept and form. Love it.
