Lemon meringue pie by far is my most favorite of desserts. I could eat chocolate any time of day (ahem!) but for dessert my vote goes to any variation on lemon meringue.
I've gathered 2 recipes & 1 inspiration (look at the height on that last meringue! dang!) for you. Lemon Meringue is just so spring-y and cheerful.... perfect for mid-April, right?

One of the things I love about old homes is the character and attention to detail put into hardwood floors. I have gathered three intriguing examples of how pattern can be star & create a remarkable room.
My favorite is the chevron floor (top left) - the tone & texture achieved is stunning!

Linda Lomelino of the famed Call Me Cupcake blog, recently made two brilliant short videos on cupcakes. It's not a how-to or even a recipe, really. But instead two beautiful, thought & creativity provoking videos, illustrating the process as much as the product.

You cannot mess with a good stripe! Ferm Living's Vertigo wallpaper (hello black & white stripes!) is hot & bold and a bit of a bully. The rest of the room would have to back down a bit, only to require very little decorating, right?
Plus, I love the monochromatic styling in this room - obviously not a real situation but inspiring none the less. And isn't the Ferm Living Knitted Basket great too?
Cactuses are such an interesting plant - architectural and playfully quaint. And because cactuses are drought resistant (ah-hem!) they are easy to care for, given sunlight.
Plus, a cactus is a beautiful plant to have on a credenza under glass (top image, left) or to gather as a group on a tray (top image, right & bottom image). Filling a whole room (mid-image) full of cactuses & other plants obviously has huge impact - wow!
Pots? I think these Ferm Living Ceramic Vases would also make awesome cactus vessels.
