marble wallpaper

Marble is very much an 'it surface/texture right now. But I like it and I think it translate well on many surfaces. Especially when considering your walls, it's certainly unexpected and faux but still, classic.

I've been teeter-tottering with Ferm Living's Marble wallpaper (shown above) "should i wallpaper the kitchen in marble or not?" back & forth, back & forth I go. After having the sample hanging in my kitchen I'm still not quite sure, I'll probably stick with white. But oh so lovely it is!

Wallpaper Wednesday: Ferm Living Mountain Friends

The new Mountain Friends wallpaper by Ferm Living tells such a sweet story it's hard not to just stop & stare! So many lovely details.

And while this print is intended for children (and a part of Ferm Living's new childrens collection for the Spring) I do think it'd fit right into a small bathroom or in the family den.

Wallpaper Wednesday: Hygge & West Underwater World Wallpaper

I have a special thing for line-style drawings. Mash up line drawings, an insane amount of pattern and oceanic love and you have Hygge & West's Underwater World wallpaper. It's really beautiful and not at all theme-y.

Thankfully.

Designed by Portland's Pattern People & also available in a rich blue.

Wallpaper Wednesday: Ferm Living Harlequin

Sometimes wallpaper is wild & loud and other times, subtle and sweet.  Ferm Living's Harlequin wallpaper  in dusty green is perfectly subtle  but has a fantastic, very background-y diamond pattern.

I can't think of a room that Harlequin would not look good in, you? If you're a grey fan, great! Harlequin is now available in grey which would add such a rich layer of pattern to your room.

Wallpaper Wednesday: Ferm Living Vertigo Wallpaper

You cannot mess with a good stripe! Ferm Living's Vertigo wallpaper (hello black & white stripes!) is hot & bold and a bit of a bully. The rest of the room would have to back down a bit, only to require very little decorating, right?

Plus, I love the monochromatic styling in this room - obviously not a real situation but inspiring none the less. And isn't the Ferm Living Knitted Basket great too?

Wallpaper Wednesday: MakeLike

Happy Wallpaper Wednesday! I'm super excited to show off MakeLike's wallpaper - it's gorgeous!

MakeLike is a Portland, OR based company that creates intriguing patterns with fungus, flowers and fauna. Their wallpaper is handscreened in a variety of  rich patterns and colors.  My very favorite? Zig Zag (which is the blue trees, above right) - love it!

Not quite ready to wallpaper? MakeLike also creates tea towels and prints!

Wallpaper Wednesday: Ferm Living Remix

Happy Wallpaper Wednesday!

One of my favorite design companies is Ferm Living. So it's no surprise that their wallpaper is a knockout!

It's hard to choose just one design, but I do love the Remix Wallpaper.  Remix is so stylish with the triangular pattern in a turquoise-ish color which Ferm Living calls Petrol.

And while a whole room covered in Remix might make you zingy, I can totally see it on an accent wall.

What do you think? Is it a win or is it too wild?

Wallpaper Wednesday: Hygge & West by Oh Joy!

The living room of Joy Cho of the blog Oh Joy! may look familiar. It is a 2-part cool story: The wallpaper was designed by Joy for Hygge & West and then was used in the living room  make-over story on the popular HGTV show Secrets from a Stylist.

The Petal Pusher wallpaper in gold is beautiful and the room itself, stunning. A double win! The mix of old & new pieces as well as all of the layers of furniture, objects & art is irresistible!

What's your favorite part of Joy Cho's room?
