Wallpaper Wednesday: Ferm Living Remix

Happy Wallpaper Wednesday!

One of my favorite design companies is Ferm Living. So it's no surprise that their wallpaper is a knockout!

It's hard to choose just one design, but I do love the Remix Wallpaper.  Remix is so stylish with the triangular pattern in a turquoise-ish color which Ferm Living calls Petrol.

And while a whole room covered in Remix might make you zingy, I can totally see it on an accent wall.

What do you think? Is it a win or is it too wild?

Vice Versa: Perfectly Styled Spring

Vanessa Colyer Tay wins the gold star! This room, which she styled is stunning. I'm crazed by the stripes & flattening of the elements on the wall as well as the furniture & objects. Oh, perfection.

And that is why it's my vice/versa subject of the day.  The style of Vanessa Colyer Tay is emergent & effervescent. I cannot resist but to only stare at the room above. How about you?!

Vice/Versa'd 5:
1. Bend Ethel Chair
2. Harry Allen My Brother's Frame
3. MakeLike Succulent Poster
4. Design House Stockholm Bjork Stool
5. Ferm Living Large Pinboard

Vice Versa \\ A phrase used to indicate that the preceding phrase is true, both as it is, and also if you flip the two terms within.

New! Jason Lewis Furiture

With great joy (& loads of excitement!) we debut the newest brand in our House&Hold catalog, Jason Lewis Furniture! While Jason Lewis has been designing, building & selling through his own studio for years, House&Hold is his first online retailer.

It's evident that Jason Lewis truly enjoys making furniture. Design & built exclusively through his studio, each piece is thoughtfully considered and made of hardwood using age old techniques, creating a collection of modern furniture with true heirloom quality.

I love the intuatuve quality of each piece. The lines are graceful and thoughtful, leaving you with the feeling that each piece is made just for you.  Which of course, I am pretty sure the rocker was made just for me, easily my favorite!

Which piece is your favorite?

ETC: 5 Designer Coffee Picks

Monochromatic designer coffee accouterments? Sure! I love coffee & I love the innate simplicity of a black & white objects.  They're just so clean & fresh, don't you agree? Though teapots are not for coffee, I would serve coffee in the one by Adonde (above) - it's beautiful.

My favorite 5 list!

1. Eric Bagger Thermos
2. Adonde Teapot
3. Design House Stockholm Rondo Set
4. Design House Stockholm Bono Mugs
5. Ferm Living Large Cup

New! Monte Furniture

I once had an eager thought of selling the sofas in our living room & replacing them with numerous rocking chairs. Monte, to be exact. So I am thrilled to now have Monte in our catalog of furniture & wares on House&Hold.

Monte has a stunning & clever collection of signature rockers & gliders in addition to a few other nursery pieces. The rockers & gliders are so well designed, in fact, that you need not have a baby to enjoy a Monte glide or rock. And if you do have a baby, Monte will surely outlast the nursery years. My favorite is one of their newest pieces, the Joya Rocker. Charcoal grey upholstery with a walnut base, to be exact!

Make/Do: A Simple Terrarium Project

Terrariums are so intriguing -- miniature landscaped worlds in a jar! And you can easily create one in less than an hour once you've gathered all the supplies. Because the jar (or other container) is transparent, I love how the roots, dirt and layers of green growth are visible. - beautiful! Terrariums are the perfect decorative object to brighten any room.

Spotted & Inspired: &Tradition Spinning BH1 Pendant Light

I was reading about the Hygge House on Dwell.com and spotted the Spinning BH1 Pendant Light by &Tradition. What I first noticed was how unconventionally it's hung - on the wall as a bedside light! Whoah!

The creative use for the pendant is inspiring and I love the play on scale as bedside lamps tend to be small and, well the Spinning BH1 is not!

The Hygge House is inspiring itself. Once a fishermen’s cottage outside Copenhagen that has since been transformed into a beautiful white, bright home full of depth & character.

What do you think? Do you like the oversized bedside light?
