Swedish Style
I love the effortless style of Swedish living. It does not matter that this beautiful space is a simple studio apartment in the city, thoughtful living is a must -- special candle holders, a spot for plants & great lighting is essential. Ferm Living SS20
Here's a sneak peek at Ferm Living's new SS20 collection for Spring & Summer. It has such an easy living vibe I don't even know what to do but I'm feeling it. The relaxed, vacation mode it communicates draws you in and I pretty much just want to sunbathe & read a book, you know? The neutral palette (with a new beige color called cashmere) and very homemade-ish elements can't be missed which is what I truly love about Ferm Living. Shop Ferm Living
Mater
I love subtle inspiration — Mater's Terho Pendants, modern as they are, suggest an acorn. The curve and contour of the modern outdoor Ocean Chair is reflective of the natural movement of the sea. Shop Mater & the Terho Pendant / Accent Dining Table / Ocean Chair

January Hygge
JANUARY’S HYGGE MOOD — Twinkle lights, always / Paper Whites are a must / Sheepskin, of course / and all the warm drinks, especially this latte from Local Milk. Embrace the Hygge (hue-guh) mood — A Danish word for mind or embrace translated in our lives today is a hug of light, natural beauty, a warm drink and something (or someone) cozy to curl up with.
Natural & Minimalist Gift Wrapping Ideas
I had an aunt growing up that would wrap the most beautiful Christmas gifts. Today we might think of this type of wrapping as Scandinavian inspired or with a natural minimalist vibe but she didn’t bother with anything like that, she simply had a knack for wrapping her gifts the way she decorated her home — earth tones, lots of nature, cozy, not overdone. I’ve gathered a few inspirations that would be right of my aunt’s alley. Lots of natural toned papers — kraft paper new or repurposed, white butcher style paper or newspaper even, as well as pieces of fabric and simple kraft paper boxes. A good selection of adornments — linen or cotton twine, silk or satin ribbons (new, saved or foraged from the depths of the craft closet), and a color or two of Japanese washi tape. A gathering of natural elements — branches, twigs & winter...
