Portland: Jacobsen Salt Co.
Portland really is all you non-Portlanders imagine. I guess the secret is out! Last week I shared with you an urban Portland artisan honey company. This week? Salt. One Portland company makes salt.
Ben Jacobsen of Jacobsen Salt Co. uses traditional salt harvesting methods to turn Oregon's lovely coastal cold waters into fluffy large flakes of salt in his Portland facility.
Really amazing. Jacobsen Salt Co. is the first of it's kind to commercially make salt of Oregon's ocean, a true pioneer!
