Terrariums are so intriguing -- miniature landscaped worlds in a jar! And you can easily create one in less than an hour once you've gathered all the supplies. Because the jar (or other container) is transparent, I love how the roots, dirt and layers of green growth are visible. - beautiful! Terrariums are the perfect decorative object to brighten any room.

I love terrariums! I've made a few of my own (see here: http://happinessisat.blogspot.com/2012/01/terrarium-vivarium-aquarium-planetarium.html and here: http://happinessisat.blogspot.com/2012/03/rainy-day-and-some-greenery.html) and am wanting to make more. It's my first real foray into gardening, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm battling to find the types of plants I want though... but that's not stopping me. Next I want to make one for my desk at work- it'll be so cool to have a little jar of the outside world in the office, haha :) I'm addicted.
