Vanessa Colyer Tay wins the gold star! This room, which she styled is stunning. I'm crazed by the stripes & flattening of the elements on the wall as well as the furniture & objects. Oh, perfection.

And that is why it's my vice/versa subject of the day.  The style of Vanessa Colyer Tay is emergent & effervescent. I cannot resist but to only stare at the room above. How about you?!

Have you ever started to dream the moment you fall asleep to then instantly realize that you're dreaming about something totally off-the-wall? You then wake up and think: ah! what?! weird! Those few seconds of dreamland are much too quirky, irrational and foggy to ever remember. This experience reminds me of the luminous greys and bright, dimensional diamonds in the  painting above, which I adore. This painting could be vice-versa'd with Objects 1-4, right?

I really do not encourage anyone to match their art to their decor. It is generally a bad idea to be so literal!

But, art always calls to mind a particular color, shape or feeling -- Hot pink, lines & floating -- that is easily associated with objects that are familiar.  And knowing the black dots in the piece above are not dots, but birds (!) allows you to consider the lines as one shape.... oh, the movement! So cool.
